More than 3,000 ladies and children enjoyed all the activities organized on the occasion of the National Sports Day (NSD) at Losail International Circuit.

Since the last year’s edition, the NSD at Losail is focused only for ladies and their children, giving them the opportunity to exercise in an outdoor facility in full privacy.

This year, the event was again a great success as the total attendance was 3,027 people, duplicating the number from last year with a high number participation of Qatari women, 77%. The number of kids that came to Losail was a 30% of the attendance.

Khalid Al Remaihi, LCSC Vice President and General Manger, was very happy with the attendance and participation on the Qatar National Sport Day.

“We are very pleased to see that the number of female participants has increased compared to last year with a high percentage of Qatari ladies. For sure, that now more ladies will come to Losail to enjoy the ladies training day that we organize every Tuesday. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Sport, Qatar Sports for All Federation, Qatar Cyclists, Lexus, Red Bull and Qatar Voluntary Centre for their support in this successful event. Also, many thanks to all the companies, professionals and volunteers that took part” Al Remaihi said.

Apart from cycling, running or walking around the 5.3 km of the Losail track, ladies were able to join any of the 30 activities organized throughout the day such as yoga, basic body exercise, Bollywood and Pilates. For those who seek an adrenaline-rush, karting sessions were also organized by Red Bull and supervised by the Friend of the
Brand, female drifter Noor Daoud.

“I rode the bicycle with my friends and had a run a around the track in the morning and later we did the Bollywood dance, which was very fun. This is my first time at Losail and I enjoyed a lot. For sure I will come back again for the Ladies Training Days,” said Dana, a participant from Qatar.

Other activities planned for ladies were workshops of healthy cooking, wellness balanced lifestyle and body shaping provided by Reem Al Muftah, a Qatari health and fitness influencer.

“It was a pleasure working with the highly motivating and organised group at Losail International Circuit and I will definitely come back next year as I’m sure it will be more successful as the best QNSD female only event I’ve seen in Qatar. It was a blessing being able to spread my wellness balance lifestyle to the amazing groups of women who attended’ said Reem after the event.

For the children too, there were also a lot of activities planned for them. There were some dedicated areas for children with bouncy castles, gymkhana, pedal cars and a nursery corner for the little ones.

It was a fun day of activities for women and children, which will encourage them in future to keep practicing
different kinds of sports activities for good health and fitness.
